A one-panel system may not provide
lots of watts, but consider: three hundred watt-hours per day
can power a 19" TV with VCR for two hours, plus one 16W compact
fluorescent light for two to three hours. The batteries will provide
four days of back-up at the discharge (usage) rate of 300 watts per day
(in zones 1, 2 or 3).
Actual performance will vary depending on your local
conditions. Prices can change without notice, please call for an up to
date system quote.
This is an example system of how much power it will provide and the
cost. These are merely guidelines to assist you; we design power
systems specifically to meet YOUR power needs. We offer a
Solar Electric Design Guide and 150 page Product Catalog for just $10.00
on CD and $15.00 for a paper hard copy. --
a boon to your energy library! These publications are filled with
planning & system sizing data, calculating power consumption,
battery care, generator-inverter systems, basic component info on
regulators, modules, inverters, batteries; wind generators, RV systems,
and battery wiring, among other things. This will be a good
investment for those seriously considering an alternate energy power
system.
